The Steelers will likely be without a significant defensive piece in linebacker TJ Watt against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday with him in COVID protocol.

Now, they may be without an important piece on offense with coach Mike Tomlin confirming during his weekly press conference on Tuesday that tight end Pat Freiermuth is in concussion protocol.

“We’ll continue to follow that progress and see where that leads us,” said Tomlin.

Linebacker Robert Spillane with a knee sprain also sounds like he will miss Sunday’s game.

“That will probably make him less than available this week,” said Tomlin.

Long snapper Christian Kuntz also has a hip injury that could limit him at the beginning of the practice week.

The good news is; Joe Haden continues to work back from a foot injury and Tomlin expects him in practice this week at some point.

Everyone else who is injured is dealing with “bumps and bruises associated with play.”
