PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He might be the pick Steelers fans are most excited about, Steelers signed second-round pick Germie Bernard to a four-year contract Monday afternoon.

The Alabama product is said to have some of the best hands, while also one of the best blocking receivers in the NFL rookie class. Steelers moved a few picks to get him after 64 receptions for 862 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025. The 6’1”, 206-pound Bernard led Alabama in receiving the last two seasons and offensive coordinator Brian Angelichio said he could play inside or outside.

“More than anything else, he’s a clutch player,” Angelichio said. “

He’s made a lot of big catches for Alabama in critical moments and that’s where they were going with the ball. You always want that in a player.”

“They are getting a selfless guy,” Bernard said of what type of player her is. “A guy that is going to do everything for the team to have success. A guy that’s explosive with the ball in his hands and a guy who can create plays.”
