The defensive tackle's illness was not disclosed with linebacker T.J. Watt, linebacker Robert Spillane and offensive lineman Joe Haeg already on the COVID list.

In addition, cornerback Joe Haden has practiced at all this week, as of Thursday, with a foot injury.

With Watt already out, Heyward was one of the few highlights of the Steelers struggling defense going into Sunday against the Ravens

In 11 games this season, Heyward has 5.5 sacks, 33 solo tackles and one forced fumble.

Many consider Heyward to be a shoe-in for the Pro Bowl this year.

With Watt, Spillane, Haden and Heyward all possibly out at home this Sunday against Baltimore, it could be a long day for the Steelers defense.
