The Steelers will play against the Vikings this Sunday without outside linebacker Alex Highsmith.
Head Coach Mike Tomlin ruled Highsmith out as he continues to deal with a knee injury.
But, safety DeShon Elliott and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. “certainly have a chance” to return.
As always, Tomlin says he’ll let their participation be the Steelers guide throughout the week.
Tomlin adds that Elliott and Porter will be treated much like defensive tackle Derrick Harmon was during the lead up to last week’s game in New England.
Harmon was on a limited snap count after being able to make his NFL debut against the Patriots.
Darius Slay, with a “leg contusion” may be limited at the beginning of the week, but is expected to play.
Slay missed 15 percent of the snaps on Sunday.
