Is Big Ben taking a shot at Mullsy here?

PM Team debates if Steelers legend was referencing Mueller's Will Howard take

Is Big Ben taking a shot at Chris Mueller?

During his draft recap edition of the Footbahlin’ podcast, Ben Roethlisberger was wrapping up his analysis of sixth-round pick, Ohio State Quarterback Will Howard.

Ben said that Howard has no pressure on him and can “play free” in camp.

But, there has also been criticisms that the only reason Howard was successful is because of all the NFL-caliber talent around him.

“You know there someone I heard . . . ‘well he played with a bunch of NFL-caliber talent, but what’s he going to be playing with now who did he beat NFL-caliber talent teams too?’ that’s the most ridiculous remark I’ve ever heard. I don’t even know who made it,” said Roethlisberger.

But, Andrew Fillipponi thinks that Roethlisberger knows who was critical of Howard.

Mullsy doesn’t remember if he said that specifically about Howard, but when he heard the “distain” in Ben’s voice, it made him think it could be him that the two-time Super Bowl-winning QB is talking about.

“I think I’m the only one here that would catch that stray,” said Chris Mueller. “I can see myself using the NFL talent argument, no question. I think there’s a real chance I might have said that about Will Howard.”

After listening to it again, Mullsy said, “I think it’s me, I think it’s me.”
