PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) –No longer is Joey Porter, Junior listed with a back injury, rather he was limited in Steelers practice Wednesday for conditioning.




Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy said before practice the plan was to move forward with Porter, Junior. That he is no longer dealing with the back injury is progress, but he still hasn’t had a full practice this year.

Porter, Junior was limited in all of the practices last week due to the back injury first reported on the first day of training camp.

3 others on the injury report

  • OT Troy Fautanu (ankle)-did not practice
  • TE Darnell Washington (personal)-did not practice
  • WR Michael Pittman, Junior (foot)-limited

Both injuries to Fautanu and Pittman is new, although Pittman’s foot could be an extension of what he dealt with during training camp. The team refused to disclose what Pittman’s injury in Latrobe.

Steelers will have three more practices before leaving for New England on Saturday.
