Report: Steelers have reached out to six teams for WR, Khan says nothing's going on

There was a lot of talk on social media Monday afternoon about the Steelers trying to make a move for a wide receiver.

Former Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden sent a message out on X (formally Twitter) says that the Steelers are close to adding a “significant playmaker”.

That’s news to Steelers General Manager Omar Khan, at least publicly.

Khan joined The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN Tuesday afternoon sand said he doesn’t know of any deals.

“I heard about it, I didn’t exactly see it, but um, there’s nothing going on right now,” said Khan.

He added he’ll let the show know if there is something to talk about.

Broncos insider Benjamin Allbright says that the Steelers have contacted six teams “and they’ve been rejected by two.”

He says the Steelers were reportedly rejected on talks about Broncos WR Courtland Sutton and 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk.

He also brought up Seahawks WR DK Metcalf. He says that a deal with him likely won't happen until June (if it happens at all).
