Turns out former Steelers quarterback “Duck” Hodges and country star Lainey Wilson were trolling us last month when she came to town to perform with Luke Combs.

Wilson recently said in an interview that she and “Duck” have been dating for two-and-a-half years.

Speculation ramped up after Wilson and her band were all wearing Hodges jerseys while performing at Acrisure Stadium, opening up for Combs.

Some fans tweeted at Hodges, who acted surprised and asked Wilson to “holla” at him.

Wilson said during the interview with Katie & Company that Hodges means a lot to her and she wanted to keep it private.

“I share a lot of my life with the world and this is one thing that means a whole lot to me and I want to be careful with it,” Wilson said.

She added she isn’t going to share too much more but called Hodges her “biggest cheerleader” and “biggest champion”.

Wilson said they met in Nashville through mutual friends.

Hodges spent the 2021 offseason with the Los Angeles Rams before being waived in August that year.

He then signed a deal with the Ottawa Redblacks in the Canadian Football League before retiring from professional football last April.

In addition to her rising music career, Wilson also plays “Abby” on the hit television show “Yellowstone.”
