The Steelers are banging up heading into a Monday Night game against the Miami Dolphins at Acrisure Stadium, but there is also encouraging news.
During his weekly news conference on Tuesday, Tomlin said offensive tackle Calvin Anderson has already been ruled out for Monday after missing this past Sunday’s game against Baltimore.
DK Metcalf, who was checked out with a stomach issue after the game in Baltimore is getting better and should be good for Monday night.
Defensive lineman Derrick Harmon, who missed the past two weeks with a knee injury, will also be limited early in the week but could return against the Dolphins.
Several other players remain in concussion protocol after Sunday’s game:
Offensive lineman Andrus Peat, linebacker Malik Harrison and tight end Darnell Washington are all in the protocol and Tomlin says they’ll see how the week plays out with them.
Nose tackle Keeanu Benton is expected to be limited early in the week with an ankle injury, cornerback James Pierre (who intercepted Lamar Jackson on Sunday) has a calf injury and will be limited early.
Tomlin also said wide receiver Ben Skowronek is “banged up”.
And, safety Kyle Dugger, who was out against the Ravens with a hand injury, could return this week.
