A user on TikTok (yes, JuJu’s favorite platform) claims he has found a tell in Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s pre-snap that shows whether he’ll throw it or hand it off.

In the video Theo Ash watches clips from last year’s game in Buffalo and claims he hasn’t seen the plays before but accurately predicts what each play with be.

As the youngster explains, Roethlisberger’s back heel is lifted slightly when he’s going to throw, both feet are planted when he is going to hand it off.

From the clips I’ve watched, Ash seems to be on to something, but it might not matter if Ben gives it away or not.

NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala has said on The Fan multiple times this offseason that the Steelers offense was the most obvious in the NFL and opposing teams knew what plays were coming before the snap.

But former Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats says noticing things like that on film is a lot easier than when you’re on the field.

“Other QBs have tips a well but most of them, including Ben, change it enough that you can’t trust it.”
