PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – There was hope when the Steelers drafted 6’3” corner Cory Trice, Junior in the seventh round in 2023, they found a potential starter. Tuesday, Trice was released after a failed physical.
The injuries started early for Trice. After positive looks during the team’s offseason workouts, Trice suffered a major knee injury in training camp his rookie year in 2023 and was lost for the season. In 2024, it was a hamstring injury that cost him nine games after he had played in six and started one with an interception. Last year, Trice suffered both a hamstring (training camp during Friday Night Lights) and then knee injury a day after returning to practice in October to miss a second full season.
