New Steelers cornerback Patrick Peterson got himself into some hot water with Steeler Nation briefly after he tweeted out a photo of himself in a Photoshopped Steelers jersey featuring the #7 he wore in Minnesota.
While he's now retired, that number, of course was Ben Roethlisberger's for 18 seasons in Pittsburgh.

Peterson talked about the possibility of getting the number during his podcast with cousin and former Steeler Bryant McFadden "All Things Covered."
It's special to Peterson because that is the number his father wore. He seemed to realize when it was mentioned by McFadden that while the don't retire numbers often in Pittsburgh, they may not give that one out.
Peterson though didn't give up on getting that number, aware that Ben Roethlisberger wore it for two decades, saying he'd "love to rock number seven."
But after hearing from Steeler fans on Twitter, he knew it wasn't going to happen.
