Patrick Peterson had to leave Steelers facility to enjoy a sauna

The Steelers got poor marks again for its facilities in the annual NFLPA survey.

The Steelers’ locker room on the South Side received a “D” from players this year, getting an “F” in 2023.

Former Steelers cornerback Patrick Peterson said on his podcast, “1st & Pod” hosted along with The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi that he had to go elsewhere for a sauna, because the Steelers facility didn’t have one.

“I used to go to the Fairmont and use their sauna every single day . . . because I had to have it, I had to have the sauna,” said Peterson.

Not a good look for the Steeler facilities on the South Side.

The team shares their building with the University of Pittsburgh’s football team.

If the Steelers are to improve their facilities, it will likely have to be at a brand-new location.

There isn’t much room for an expansion on the South Side. Train tracks to one side, the Monongahela River on the other.
