Steelers defensive end Stephon Tuitt, who was placed on the Reserve/Injured List since the beginning of the season and didn't participate much in Training Camp has been largely absent from the team's UPMC Rooney Sports Complex through the first four weeks of the season.

But on Friday, Tuitt was spotted at practice in a photo taken by Post-Gazette photographer Matt Freed.

Tuitt, who is physically dealing with a knee injury can be seen with a big brace on.

Tuitt, along with offensive tackle Zach Banner and running back Anthony McFarland were all placed on IR.

Banner and McFarland have both returned to practice officially, but are still on IR.

Defensive coordinator Keith Butler said earlier this season that on top of the knee issue, Tuitt also had some weight to lose.

In the picture, he looks to be in pretty good shape.

It's unknown if Tuitt will be able to return at some point this season.

He is also dealing with the sudden loss of his brother who died this past summer in a hit-and-run, an accident his mother witnessed.

The Steelers have been supportive of Tuitt during this difficult time, giving him the time he needs to heal physically and mentally.
