PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) While nothing is certain until an official announcement, the Pittsburgh Steelers are almost certain to take a quarterback with their first pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
The Steelers hold pick No. 20 and have been keeping close tabs on multiple top college quarterbacks.
From the Senior Bowl to their respective pro days, Steelers personnel like Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert have been fishing around four specific names.
Pitt's Kenny Pickett, Liberty's Malik Willis, Cincinnati's Desmond Ridder, and Ole Miss's Matt Corral.
All four have been slated to be first round eligible, some possibly out of the Steelers reach and be taken in the top 10.
ESPN's Brooke Pryor joined the PM Team to discuss the possible Steeler draft picks.
Pryor was asked to rank the four quarterbacks in the order the Steelers may have them listed heading into the draft.
In order of top priority to last, Pryor listed the names as:
Willis
Ridder
Pickett
Corral
All four names have had strong links to the Steelers and Tomlin has taken in each of their pro days.
Depending on who is left on the board come pick 20, the Steelers are likely to take one of those four names.
