There were question marks surrounding who the Steelers would be facing at quarterback when the San Francisco 49ers come to Acrisure Stadium.

According to 49ers General Manager John Lynch. Brock Purdy is “cleared, without restriction.”

According to 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan, says that Purdy will be QB1 heading into training camp.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Shanahan says Purdy will throw two out of three days to start and when he is on the field, will get first team reps.

"The great news is Brock has worked his tail off and he's ready to go," Shanahan added.

There were thoughts that Purdy may have missed some regular season games in 2023.

He was injured in the first quarter of the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles this past January.

He tore the UCL in the elbow of his throwing arm.

Purdy was the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.
