PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – First reported by national writer Jordan Schultz, now confirmed by others including the Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will visit the Steelers on Thursday.
Originally mocked as one of the first few picks of the 2025 NFL Draft, Sanders has reportedly fallen recently over concerns about his performance at his Pro Day.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper ranks him as his top quarterback on his draft board, while recent mock drafts show the son of Deion Sanders available when the Steelers pick at 21st overall.
In 50 career games, he threw for 14,353 yards and 134 touchdowns between Colorado and Jackson State. He threw at least one TD pass in 49 straight games. Just with the Buffaloes, Sanders completed 72% of his passes for 7,364 yards, 64 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He broken over 100 Colorado school records winning the Jonny Unitas Award as the top quarterback in college football in 2024 and was the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.
