PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The "Duck" Hodges era in Steelers football isn't over, at least not yet. One day after Hodges was placed on waivers, the Steelers signed the 24-year-old quarterback to their practice squad.
Hodges, who went 3-3 in six starts last season, was dropped from the 53-man roster when the Steelers signed quarterback Josh Dobbs. Hodges will be the fourth quarterback with the team behind Ben Roethlisberger, Mason Rudolph and Dobbs.
The Steelers also signed running back Wendell Smallwood to the practice squad following his release by the team on Saturday.
