A day ahead of the Steelers reporting to St. Vincent for Training Camp, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. to his rookie contract.
It’s a four-year deal.
The deal was first reported by The Athletic’s Mark Kaboly, along with others.
Porter was the first pick taken in the second round this this past April’s draft.
The Steelers acquired that pick after they dealt wide receiver Chase Claypool to the Chicago Bears.
Porter is the last rookie to sign his deal.
He is a graduate of North Allegheny High School and played through this junior year at Penn State.
Porter is expected to battle Levi Wallace for the starting position when the first practice begins on Thursday. That is open to the public, but you need a ticket.
