According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are releasing wide receiver/special teamer Gunner Olszewski.

Olszewski struggled in two games he appeared in this season, catching one pass for zero yards.

He has one punt return for 8 yards.

He also fumbled the ball twice and also caught a punt that was going to go out of bounce but caught it in bounce.

Had he let it go, it would’ve given the Steelers better field position.

Gunner participated in only 4 percent of the offensive snaps and 14 percent on special teams and still had three big mistakes.

Olszewski was a First Team All-Pro in 2020 and was also the Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 13 that year.

Olszewski signed a two-year contract with the Steelers in the 2022 offseason.
