PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – “Time. Time for healing.”
What Aaron Rodgers said is the difference between this week and last week as far as the potential for him to play against the Bills Sunday.
Asked if he was optimistic about playing last week?
“I’m not going to get into that,” Rodgers said. “I was trying to see where I was at Thursday and Friday. That’s all I’m going to say about that.”
Rodgers said he never had the understanding that he was waiting for a doctor’s clearance to play. He did clear up that it’s a cast on his left wrist, not any type of apparatus.
With Sunday through Tuesday off to do just rehab, it’s allowed time for more healing and also allowed for a few more days for the callus to form on his wrist.
“Just doing a rehab,” Rodgers said of recent work as he didn’t practice Wednesday. “Today I did a little bit more, tomorrow I’ll do a little bit more and see where I’m at come Friday.”
Rodgers will prepare to start this week, he said he did that last week as well.
“I’m always wanting to play,” Rodgers said. “There’s been very few times that an injury’s been significant enough to keep me off the field. That was definitely disappointing, but you know also being in Chicago. But that is what it is.”
He will get ‘casted up’ tomorrow and intends to practice and then see how it feels after that. Friday being another big day to see if the starter goes against Buffalo.
