Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says he needs to get back to basics to be the best player he can be.
During his weekly press conference, Roethlisberger said he needs to get his feet set better and work on the mechanics of some of his throws.
"I Do feel I got a little lazy with my feet, which then in turn translated into a lazy arm," said Roethlisberger.
Even though it's an off day for Ben, he says he is going to focus on his footwork on Wednesday.
Roethlisberger adds that past few seasons he has gotten away with not being perfect mechanically but that he needs to change that.
"I've gotten away with it in the past being able to not necessarily be perfect from the ground up and just letting my arm kind of make up for a lot of things," said Roethlisberger
Roethlisberger added that he needs to trust himself more and that his players.
So far this season, Roethlisberger has thrown for 540 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
