Roethlisberger says Aaron Rodgers will elevate Steelers offense

Future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger thinks that Aaron Rodgers still has what it takes to elevate the Steelers offense.

“Aaron comes in here, the team just gets this much better,” said Roethlisberger on his latest Footbahlin podcast. “I mean you get a Hall of Famer in here.”

Even at 41-years-old Roethlisberger says Rodgers is still a threat, even if his legs don’t work like they used to.

“You know what still works? His arm and his brain,” said Roethlisberger. “And so, I think that that’s something that instantly makes this team offensively something to think about.”

Bob Pompeani agrees with Big Ben that Rodgers can be effective, especially with wide receivers DK Metcalf and George Pickens, if he isn’t traded.

Joe Starkey says he won’t deny that Rodgers can still throw.

“But he better have plenty of time because he has started to throw more picks these past couple years . . . he’s less mobile, he’s less accurate, 30th in the league in completion percentage and he’s going to be working in an Arthur Smith, Mike Tomlin offense with at least one highly-problematic wide receiver.”

Pomp adds if Rodgers has the proper protection on the offensive line, Rodgers can still be dangerous.
