
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He might not even be welcomed back as the Steelers quarterback, but Russell Wilson has been named to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games as a replacement for Bills QB Josh Allen, who is out due to injury.

It’s the 10th career Pro Bowl selection for Wilson which is tied for fifth-most among quarterbacks in NFL history. Wilson is tied with Pittsburgh native Johnny Unitas and Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and ahead of Hall of Famers-John Elway, Dan Marino, Joe Montana. Getting to double-figures, Wilson is tied with Pitt legends Aaron Donald and Joe Schmidt along with Lawrence Taylor, Barry Sanders, Ronnie Lott and others.
Wilson threw for 2,482 yards with 16 touchdowns to five interceptions in going 6-6 with the Steelers in 2024. He becomes the sixth Steeler voted in or as a replacement to this year’s Pro Bowl Games (DT Cam Heyward, K Chris Boswell, S Minkah Fitzpatrick, G Isaac Seumalo and Special Teams Miles Killebrew). TJ Watt was voted in but won’t participate due to injury.
