Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers wants dealt, could the Steelers be a destination?

NFL Insider Dianna Russini says the Steelers are one of the teams that “continue to scour the veteran wide receiver market”, and another big name just became a possibility.

According to NFL Network, the Raiders best receiver, Jakobi Meyers, has requested a trade.

Meyers is going into the final year of his deal and is set to make $10.5 million.

Meyers does many things well, including not dropping the ball and winning over half of contested catches.

“This is a very underrated wide receiver in my opinion,” said Andrew Fillipponi about the undrafted, six-year vet.

Meyers spent his first four seasons with New England before playing his last two in Las Vegas.

The 28-year-old has 393 catches for 4,592 yards over 91 games and 20 touchdowns.

Russini said Minnesota and the New York Jets are also teams looking for more wide receiver depth.
