PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – With two offensive linemen on injured reserve and two more questionable this week with injuries, the Steelers signed a player off the Chiefs practice squad.
Danny Isidora, a fifth-round pick of the Vikings in 2017 comes to the Steelers and takes Matt Feiler’s roster spot after Feiler suffered a pectoral injury in the Buffalo game.
The 6’3”, 306-pound guard is 26 and has played 25 games in the NFL with 6 starts. Isidora was traded to the Dolphins in August of last year for a seventh-round pick and was injured in September after starting every game, and spent the rest of the season on injured reserve.
The Chiefs twice protected Isidora on their practice squad, but the Steelers took him today with need at that position.
Isidora was a big get for the University of Miami as one of the best offensive linemen in the nation his senior year of high school. The Florida native started three years with the Hurricanes and was second-team All-ACC his senior season.
Steelers start practice for Cincinnati on Wednesday.
