
LATROBE, PA (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers added a pair of running backs, one from Penn State, after one was lost for the season and another was released on Tuesday.
Undrafted free agent Alfonzo Graham put on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury, more specifically a torn labrum. Free agent Jason Huntley is in his third year in the league and released after being signed in the offseason. He played six games with the Eagles combined in 2020-21 rushing 18 times for 70 yards. Huntley spent parts of last season on the Steelers practice squad.
Penn Stater John Lovett, 6’, 209 pounds, was an undrafted free agent last year, signing with Carolina. He put up most of his college numbers in three years at Baylor, 1,803 yards and 17 touchdowns. In 2021, he finished with the Nittany Lions rushing 52 times for 177 yards.
Greg Bell, 6’, 200 pounds, was also an undrafted free agent in 2022, signing with Detroit. He played two seasons at San Diego State, after transferring from Nebraska, rushing for 1,728 yards in two seasons, with nine, 100-yard games. He was two-time Mountain West Second Team.
