PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers addressed one of their areas of need Sunday night adding a former Patriots, Jaguars and Browns defensive lineman.

Entering his seventh season, 6’3”, 310-pound Daniel Ekuale signed with his fourth team to an undisclosed contract with the Steelers. The 31-year-old Ekuale started 16 games with New England last year playing 68% of the snaps with 11 quarterback pressures, three quarterback hits, a sack and career-high 52 tackles (24 solo).

Undrafted out of Washington State, Ekuale was the 52nd ranked interior defensive lineman by Pro Football Focus. By comparison, Larry Ogunjobi ranked 94th last season and Keeanu Benton was 29th. A native of American Samoa, Ekuale doesn’t have an area where he really excels, but also doesn’t have one where he dips greatly either.
