PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A first official coaching change for the Steelers with the return of Gerald Alexander to be the secondary coach presumably taking over for Grady Brown.
Alexander was an assistant for Brown in 2022 and 2023 with the Steelers before leaving before the 2024 season to be the safeties coach for the Las Vegas Raiders.
There are a number of stops on the Alexander resume

· Minority coaching internships with Miami (2019), Tampa Bay (2016) and Tennessee (2015)
· College coaching jobs at Cal (2017-19), Montana State (2016), Indiana State (2015), Washington (2014), Arkansas State (2013)
A second round pick by the Lions out of Boise Statein 2007, Alexander played with Detroit, Jacksonville, Carolina, Miami and the Jets over five seasons with 154 tackles, 14 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and four interceptions.
