Injured Steelers DT suspended five games, team makes roster moves

Daniel Ekuale is on injured reserve with an ACL

The Steelers signed two and released two from their practice squad on Tuesday afternoon and the NFL suspended a defensive tackle, already out for the season, for five games.

The NFL announced that Daniel Ekuale “is suspended for the club’s next five games without pay for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy.”

Ekuale tore his ACL during the game against the Packers a few weeks back and was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

The NFL didn’t share any other details on his suspension.

Defensive back Daequan Hardy and linebacker Mark Robinson were terminated from the practice squad.

Wide receiver Cornell Powell and defensive end Anthony Goodlow were signed.

Powell was one of three receivers the Steelers hosted for a tryout last week.

Goodlow, a former DT with the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams went undrafted in 2024.
