Steelers haven't won a game in Philadelphia in nearly 60 years

Team could very well be 0-12 since 1965 after Sunday

Another week and another game where the Steelers are a heavy underdogs.

This time it's the cross-state rival Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles are off to 6-0 start and remain the only undefeated team in the NFL this season.

The Steelers are an 11-point underdog against the Eagles this Sunday.

It's the final game before the Steelers have a bye week and try to regroup for the second half of the season.

Currently 2-5, it looks like they'll go into the break 2-6 and history isn't on their side.

The Steelers haven't won a game in Philadelphia since 1965, that's 57 years ago!

It was a 20-14 win for Pittsburgh. Back then, the Steelers and Eagles played each other twice a year (that would end in 1966).

The Eagles would win the other game that 1965 season in Pittsburgh 47-13.

Let's take a look at each game in Philadelphia since:

1966: 27-23 Eagles
1966: 34-10 Eagles
1967: 34-24 Eagles
1969: 34-24 Eagles
1970: 30-20 Eagles
1979: 17-14 Eagles
1991: 23-14 Eagles
1997: 23-20 Eagles
2008: 15-6 Eagles
2016: 34-3 Eagles

That's a 0-11 record in Philadelphia, spanning the three best coaches in franchise history.

Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin all combined have never won a game in Philadelphia.

The way the NFL schedule is developed has changed over the years, with the Steelers now only playing the Eagles every four years with the Steelers in the AFC and Eagles in the NFC.

Anything can happen in the NFL, but it's looking like the Steelers are about to go 0-12 and won't have a chance to win in Philly until well into the future.
