The Steelers have made a swap with their depth at linebacker.
Outside linebacker Derrek Tuskza, who was called up off the practice squad to help fill in for Alex Highsmith and T.J. Watt, who were both out with groin injuries, is replacing Jamir Jones on the 53-man active roster, who was waived.
Jones is expected to sign with the practice squad.
Tuskza automatically went back on the practice squad Monday but is now officially on the 53-man.
Tuskza had two tackles, including one solo, against the Bengals on Sunday, Jones had one solo tackle.
A seventh-round pick in 2020, Tuszka was taken by the Denver Broncos out of North Dakota State.
He was waived by the Broncos at the end of the 2021 preseason and was signed to the Steelers practice squad after.
