PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Steelers players have voted for their 2020 captains, and three holdovers are joined by two newcomers.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and center Maurkice Pouncey are captains for offense. Defensive end Cam Heyward and linebacker T.J. Watt are the defense captains, and safety Jordan Dangerfield is the captain of the special teams.

Roethlisberger is a captain for the 12th time and tenth consecutive season. This is the fourth time for Pouncey and sixth time for Heyward.

Watt and Dangerfield were elected for the first time in their careers.

This marks the first time under Mike Tomlin that the Steelers have had five captains.
