PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - While parrying around COVID-19, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Thursday — by virtue of ESPN's Adam Schefter — that the team will not be hosting fans at the first two home games of 2020.
Heinz Field will be empty for those two games, which would be the Steelers' second and third games against the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans, respectively.
Those Weeks 2 and 3 games will be fanless at Heinz Field, which will wrap up September without bodies in the stands.
October’s first game will be in Nashville against the Tennessee Titans before the Steelers return back home for a Week 5 battle with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The date for Week 5’s game is scheduled for October 11, but that could be tentative since it’s only two weeks removed from Week 3.
