Four Steelers players are being recognized for their efforts over the past week and month.
Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week and T.J. Watt was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
For October, Beanie Bishop Jr. is the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month and Chris Boswell is the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month.
Austin broke a 9-9 tie in the second half of Monday night’s game against the Giants, returning a punt 73-yards for a touchdown.
Austin also caught a touchdown pass during the game as well.
Watt’s strip-sack in the fourth quarter took any life out of a possible New York comeback.
Watt also has seven tackles and another sack during the 26-18 Steelers win.
The undrafted Bishop out of West Virginia grabbed three interceptions over two games, picking off Aaron Rodgers twice during a home win in Week 7.
He had one pick this past Monday night against the Giants.
He had 15 total tackles in October.
Boswell has been named the Special Teams Player of the Month for two straight months.
Bos was perfect in October, hitting all 12 field goals and all 10 extra points.
He’s only missed one field goal all season.
The Steelers have a bye week and then face a much-improved Commanders team on November 10 in Washington.
They then play four straight games against AFC North opponents.
