PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He was impressive enough during rookie mini-camp that he was able to go from a tryout to getting a contract. On Tuesday, the Steelers released defensive tackle Trevon Mason.

Mason was Honorable Mention All-Pac 12 last season with Arizona with 42 tackles, nine quarterback hurries, 7.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups and 2.5 sacks.  The 6'6" Texan started his career at Navarro Community College after 14 sacks his senior year of high school.
