The Steelers have announced they have released linebacker Jamir Jones.
Jones had two stints with the Steelers.
First in 2021, Jones signed with the Steelers are Notre Dame’s Pro Day and made the 53-man roster, but was waived at the end of September in 2021.
He was claimed by the Rams the next day, later waived by Los Angeles on Christmas 2021.
He was claimed by the Jaguars two days later, but was waived by Jacksonville before the start of the 2022 season.
He was then claimed off waivers by the Steelers.
He appeared in all 17 games for the Steelers last season, starting in none. He had 10 total tackles with one pass defended and two quarterback hits.
