PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers continue to add depth this offseason, with another signing to the defensive line on Monday night. Armon Watts agent announcing on Twitter he is signing with the Steelers.
The 26-year-old is 6'5", 307 pounds and was the sixth-round pick of the Vikings in 2019. Watts played three seasons with Minnesota starting 10 of 40 career games and then last season started 12 of the 17 he played with the Bears. The former Arkansas player had a career-high five sacks and 10 quarterback hits to go with 46 tackles with Minnesota in 2021.
The last two seasons Watts played about half of his teams' defensive snaps. He only started his last season at Arkansas and along with football, played basketball and soccer in high school.
He joins Breiden Fehoko coming over from the Chargers, plus the re-signing of Larry Ogunjobi as free agents signed by the Steelers this offseason on the defensive line.
