PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers first move after setting the 53-man roster is with the practice squad, adding safety Bishop Fitzgerald to a secondary without DeShon Elliott for at least the first four games.
Fitzgerald played two years at NC State with 97 tackles, 16 passes defensed, seven tackles for loss and five interceptions in 26 games. He played his final season at USC with 51 tackles, 2.5 TFL and five interceptions.
He signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in April.
