PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a pair of signings on the defensive side of the ball; and no neither of them are Tyrann Mathieu.
Rather, the Steelers have re-signed safety Karl Joseph and picked up free agent linebacker Genard Avery.
Joseph has played in 65 career games over the past six seasons with the Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns, and the Steelers.
Two of those games were played with the Steelers in 2021.
Avery in 2021 played with the Philadelphia Eagles appearing in 16 games and starting in 12 of them.
Both players have agreed to a one-year contract.
The Steelers continue to fill out their defensive lineup and fans continue to wait to see if the much sought after Honey Badger signs in Pittsburgh.
