Steelers sign wide receiver Cody Chrest

Cue the Mr. Big Chrest jokes.

The Steelers have signed wide receiver Cody Chrest.

The undrafted rookie out of Sam Houston State was a two-time All-WAC pick for the Bearkats.

He had 36 catches in 2022 for 548 yards last season with two touchdowns, spending three seasons at Sam Houston.

In 31 career games, Chrest has 131 catches for 1,715 yards and nine touchdowns.

Chrest will most likely be competing for a depth spot on the roster with people like Gunner Olszewski.

He originally signed with the Indianapolis Colts after this year's draft.
