Since the Steelers traded wide receiver Diontae Johnson, they haven’t found a big name in free agency or trade to replace him.

They’ve added Van Jefferson and Quez Watkins, but not that big name.

As of now, George Pickens would be your number 1 going into 2024, but according to Audacy NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, the Steelers are still looking to add a wide receiver in free agency/trade.

“I know that they’re really trying to make something happen,” La Canfora said on the Audacy original podcast “In The Huddle” Wednesday about the Steelers still looking for a wideout on the market.

He said they could pull the trigger at any time.

“Would not surprise me if they did that tomorrow, if they did it the Wednesday before the draft, if they did it while they were on the clock, if they did it in the run up to the draft that Thursday,” said La Canfora.

If the Steelers are unable to get a veteran, they’ll probably get a wide receiver in the draft.

Even with how good the Steelers have been at drafting WRs, would they feel confident getting one in a middle round that could produce right away?
