
Former Steelers Super Bowl running back Mike Collier has died. He was 71.
Michael Collier, taken in the 14th round of the 1975 draft, helped the Steelers win Super Bowl X.
Collier scored three touchdowns his rookie year with the Steelers and had 124 yards on 21 attempts over 14 games.
Collier would come into the game at times for running back starters Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier.
A graduate of Morgan State University, Collier was injured his second year, playing two more seasons in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills.
According to his obituary, Collier coached youth football and other sports after his retirement from football. He also worked as a grocery manager until he retired in 2021.
