Mike Tomlin seem to either be delusional or is just clowning the media and public.
During his weekly news conference Mike Tomlin started by talking about his defense, not his offense, that can't move the ball down the field.
"Am I hallucinating?" asked Joe Starkey.
Tomlin talked about the defense not being able to hold the Patriots to field goals when they had the short field advantage. He says that would've been the difference in the game.
He didn't open up by talking about the offense that is scoring 16.2 points a game?! That's below the Cardinals and Titans, the former beat them.
They've averaged a little over 11 points the past four games, haven't scored over 20 points in a month and haven't scored 30 or more all year.
"You've got one of the most brutally inept offenses in the history of this franchise and you start by ripping your defense, I'm just flabbergasted," said Starkey.
Tomlin said that quarterback Mitch Trubisky got better as the game against the New England Patriots went on and expects him to be even better against the Colts on Saturday.
"Oh boy, I can't wait for that," said Starkey sarcastically as he went over the Steelers second half offensive drives against the Patriots:
11 plays, 32 yards – punt
3 plays, 7 yards – punt
4 plays, 9 yards – ball over on downs
4 plays, 26 yards – touchdown
7 plays, 13 yards – punt
6 plays, 22 yards – ball over on downs
Even the usually level-heading Matt "Foalsy" Koll expressed his frustration talking about Trubisky automatically getting the start.
"What world are you living in pal, we saw this, we saw this last year," said a flustered Foalsy.
