The banged up Steelers secondary looked slightly better after Thursday practice.
Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, with a hamstring injury did not practice again, with head coach Mike Tomlin indicating that he won’t be available on Sunday.
New to the injury list is wide receiver Diontae Johnson with a hip issue and offensive lineman Mason Cole with a foot injury. They were both limited.
Back to the secondary, safeties Minkah Fitzpatrick and Terrell Edmunds were upgraded from “did not practice” to “limited” on Thursday. We’ll learn a lot more about their availability against the Bills on Friday when the final report comes out.
Also on the injury list, cornerback Cam Sutton was limited again along with fellow corner Levi Wallace. The same goes for defensive lineman Chris Wormley and defensive tackle Cam Heyward.
The Steelers hope to get as many players healthy in time for Sunday’s game against the power Bills offensive, led by quarterback Josh Allen.
