PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It wasn't just a veteran's day off for Steelers All-Pro TJ Watt. The outside linebacker did not practice on Thursday due to a heel injury. This is new as Watt went full on Wednesday.
There is still another day of practice on Friday before leaving for Los Angeles and it could be just a precaution. We'll know more tomorrow. Also, what appears to be a setback for tight end Pat Freiermuth, after going full on Wednesday, Freiermuth was limited on Thursday due to his hamstring injury.
Rookie outside linebacker Nick Herbig was limited for a second straight day with a quad injury.
All others working to come back were full participants-WR Diontae Johnson (hamstring)-he reaffirmed Wednesday he would play against the Rams, RB Anthony McFarland (knee), punter Pressley Harvin (hamstring), tackle Dan Moore (knee), guard James Daniels (groin). Daniels said after the workout he would be ready to play Sunday.
