For the third time this season, Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Watt sacked Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield four times, had five tackles (three for a loss), two quarterback hits and two passed batted down.

Already holding the Steelers single-season sack record, Watt is 1.0 sack away from tying the NFL record set by Michael Strahan in 2001.

Watt needs to record at least 1.5 sacks on Sunday against the Ravens to break that record.

His four sacks were also the most by a Steelers since Joey Porter in 2001 against Tampa.

"He better win that Defensive Player of the Year," Cam Heyward said after Sunday's victory.  "I know there's a lot of great players out there.  I know that TJ is deserving of Defensive Player of the Year.  His preparation, the games he's missed and he's still right there with a chance to break it.  I can't say enough about the guy.  Playing through all the stuff, dominating.  He's due, let's get him that Defensive Player of the Year."

Watt also won Defensive Player of the Year in Week six against the Seahawks and in Week 13 against Baltimore.
