Well, we have a new power couple in Pittsburgh sports media.

Post-Gazette beat writer Mike DeFebo confirmed on The Fan Morning Show Thursday that he and WPXI sports reporter Jenna Harner are in fact “an item.”

Morning Show host Colin Dunlap said he saw them publically “Canoodling” on the internet.

DeFabo was on to talk Penguins, but the conversation kept going back to him and Jenna.

“Somehow we were able to keep this low-profile for a period of time even despite the fact that journalists in this city like to stalk social media or look for clues so I’m actually disappointed in your sourcing that you weren’t able to get the bottom of this sooner,” DeFabo said.

He also compared it to a no-hitter in baseball saying you don’t talk about something so you don’t mess it up.

Well the cat is out of the bag now.

“Mike, good for you,” said Jim Colony “As one who definitely outkicked his coverage 44 years ago, good for you.”

Mike says the relationship started as an “offseason development” and that they are now comfortable being public with it.

Most importantly his family and his “mum-mum” approve to the relationship.

The news got the internet buzzing wanting more answers.

Harner has been with WPXI for over a year, coming to Pittsburgh from a station in Buffalo and has been covering all major sports teams very well since.

DeFabo, who has been the Penguins beat writer since 2019, is a graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School.
