PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It’s been quite a journey for Amarion Dickerson, now after one season at Robert Morris the forward heads to Los Angeles for a Big 10 opportunity and a nice paycheck.

As first reported by Joe Tipton of On3sports, Dickerson committed to USC after being named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year in his only season at RMU, setting a school record with 82 blocked shots, including eight in a game against Detroit Mercy. Dickerson averaged 13.3 points and 5.9 rebounds and showed up in the Colonials first-round NCAA Tournament game against Alabama. The 6’7” junior was 11-22 in field goals including a three-pointer, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks before fouling out with 25 points.

Last year at this time, the Cleveland native had just finished his second year at JUCO Mineral Area College in Missouri where he averaged 12.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.

The entire Colonials starting lineup went into the transfer portal after the team made the NCAA Tournament. Dickerson is the first to commit.
