Rod Woodson 'Loves' Ben Coming Back

Woodson Shares His Thoughts On The State Of The Steelers With The PM Team

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - Everyone seems to have an opinion on the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger agreeing on one more year, but it seems to carry more weight when a Hall of Famer weighs in, especially one that wore black and gold.

Former Steeler Rod Woodson joined The PM Team with Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller to share his thoughts on one more year of Ben.

"Love it!" Rod said about Ben coming back. Ben's a lifer...he wants to play under the same colors his whole career, which is great."

But what do the Steelers do differently next year to ensure different results than what we saw this past season?

"I think they threw for over 77% of the time, which is unheard of in the National Football League, so you got to have some balance...if you put a running game with Ben and that defense...this is a solid football team."

Rod also revealed to The PM Team that he actually had conversations with the Steelers this offseason about their open position for a secondary coach.

"I respect the Rooney's, I respect Mike Tomlin, we did have some conversations, but I respect them for making their decision."
